Well it has been a while since I have posted to this blog.  Let me give you a fast update.  In July we lost one of our own in a car accident.  Ryan Gregory Barwick died July 23, 2013 from injuries received in the accident.  As you all know that hit my family and I greatly.  Ryan was a very vibrant part of our group and will be missed greatly.  However, we can live by the legacy that Ryan left us.. You love beyond words or limits!

In August, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  September through November I underwent treatment for my cancer.  In December I had surgery.  I can say with confidence that today I am cancer free! PRAISE GOD

Now with all that being said I would like to tell each and everyone of you how special you are to me.  I love teaching Sunday School and I love each and everyone of you!  I would like to use this blog to keep you up to date on what is happening in our youth department and Sunday School Class.

Happy Mother's Day!

Jesus is the Son of God

 

 

 

Scripture - John 1:14-34

 

 

From the earlist stories ,we have been taught that Jesus is the Son of God; and sometimes, we don't even give it a secong thought. The JEWS who heard John's preaching understood that this statement may not be true.  Today's lesson we will discover how John delivered God's message through his testimony.

 

 

 

Every follower of Jesus has a testimony.  Our testimonies are our experiences and stories of life with Christ. 

 

When did you first start to follow Christ?

Why did you become a believer?

How do you follow Jesus today?

 

Remember we are to proclaim Christ's work in our lives.  How are we doing that?

 

 

 

Today is Mother's Day take an opportunity and tell your mom how much she means to you.  I have been blessed with a Godly mother, and I would like for her to know just how much I appreciate her and her walk with God!  Mama I love you and I thank God for giving me to you!  Your life has been a testimony of your Faith!

Sydney we missed you today.  We need to continue to pray for Mr. Billy, Mrs. Martha, and Brother Cannen. 

Summer is fast approaching..find time this summer to set aside some time to truly focus on prayer and what direction God wants to take you in.

Today I missed each one of you!  I heard that Rob and Sydney had a great time at the PROM! Glad that you guys had fun and were safe. 

This week our family celebrated a milestone.  Ms. Geneva Rowland (Keith's) granny had her 99th birthday. 

Please remember Hunter this week has he his EOY test.  His mommy is very nervous but knows that he will be fine.

Also I would like to tell my East Laurens students to have a wonderful GOD filled SPRING BREAK!  You deserve it!

Please remember several members in our church this week during your prayer time.  Continue to pray for Mr. Billy (Janice).  Mr. Billy is still in the hospital and needs prayer that his kidney's will start to perfrom like he needs them too.  Remember Mrs. Janice because she is wearing herself out trying to see about him.  Also Brother Cannen needs our prayer has he starts his 2nd week of chemo!  Then there is Mr. Ed Hasty who is not feeling well.  Please lift these up in prayer.

We had a great day today in Sunday School.  We missed those of you who were not with us today.  However, please be in prayer for Brother Cannen and Mr. Billy.  Brother Cannen will start chemo this week, and he needs a lot of prayer for his road ahead.  Brother Cannen has tremendous FAITH in GOD and has placed this battle in his hands.  Mr. Billy will be having a hearth cath in the morning, we will know more about him after the cath.  please continue to lift him and Mrs Janice up in prayer.  I'm looking forward to seeing you all next Sunday in Sunday School.

The week ahead is PROM, I pray that each and every one of you have a safe and fun night...Remember I'm praying for you!
